Question by Alana – I learned from every mistake, every success and every experience I’ve had in life, love, career and otherwise to help me be the best person I can be. Life isn’t about what has happened in your past, its about what IS happening in the PRESENT.
Question by Anna – I’m an only child and being my parents only, sole and complete and utter focus helped me get to where I am today. They made a lot of sacrifices that I don’t think would’ve been possible had there been another baby in the bunch. You can read the whole story though, my journey and career insider scoop in my book ‘A Real Guide To Really Getting It Together Once And For All (Really)‘ though!
Question by Bailey B.Hunt – Wow! I certainly hope they end up together! But he was her first love so.. fingers crossed. Most difficult episode to film… Hm… Probably the spring break episodes last year, it was so warm and the hours were so long. It wasn’t ‘difficult’ but as far as our super comfortable set goes, it was up there with uncomfortable!
Question by Samantha – Probably a jokey. Or real estate agent…
Question by Chiara Aprile – Yes my book will be published in Italian! I don’t know when yet but hopefully soon! Aww you’re so sweet. Peace on!
Question by Rosemary – Frogs. I’m totally scared shitless of them.
Question by Leonardo – Aww thank you! My favorite season of awkward was probably season 4. I got to direct, we had our new amazing show runners and I felt like we all just had a lot of fun. And that’s so important.
Question by Erika – Honestly, I have no idea! I think each role has its own creative challenges and whatever pushes me harder than before, that’s the role or job I want.
Question by Erika – Hannibal or Or Twin Peaks!
Question by Chantel – Hmm.. Probably the scene with Even Peters, Chad Michael Murray directed that episode and he set up this gorgeous long lens shot. It was amazing because the cameras were so far out of our eyesight as actors that it felt so real… Very cool experience.
Question by Giulia – Aww thanks! Yes my book will be translated, I don’t know the date for that yet though. And as far as after awkward, I’d love to pursue directing and writing more. Being behind the camera is really fun for me.
Haha! Just be themselves but also walk on eggshells and treat me like royalty… I’m kidding!!
Jeezz, I would have to say Oprah. She’s just a stellar human being.
Probably Gary Jules ‘Mad World’ or Bill Withers ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’
I do! For instance, I recently choked on a chicken sandwich on the second date and my date had to save me… So awkward..
Question by Vivian – Of course! It’s always a problem whenever they have all of us in one scene because we kinda of just mess around and laugh really loud.
Question by Mike Tagaylo – I think my plan is to just do good work, what makes me happy (acting, or directing, or writing etc) and trust that universe will take care of the rest as long as I try to make a difference in the world through my work. And my dream director would be David Lynch.
Question by Luana – No! I’m dying to go. Why, you got plane tickets for me?
Question by Moha Louhichi: Wow! Great question. I really didn’t like Colin, not for anything personal but he just kind of ruined Jenna’s life!
Yes, but I won’t say who
I think we all get anxious and the best way to handle any sort of overwhelming feeling is to first- give in to it. Don’t let it make you crazy but sitting with a feeling and letting it pass through you is, in my opinion, the only way to really deal with it. Second- make a plan for how to relieve it. Go for a walk, call a friend or do some breathing work. Third- move on. Life is calling and your feelings won’t kill you, they are just temporary so don’t let it rule your life!
My celebrity crush is probably Bruno Mars and no, I don’t know if he knows I exist (yet!)
When I was in daycare, we did a lot of finger painting. My teacher looked at my canvas full of brown and asked why I chose brown, I said ‘I didn’t choose brown, I chose every color and this is what happened.’ While I wouldn’t say my favorite color is brown, I would say that I can’t choose for a favorite color. Maybe green to wear because it brings out my eyes. For polish I like metallic Pewter, gold, silver and rose gold because I can match my nails to my jewelry. For interior decorating, I like white, it gives a more open feeling. And for purses shoes and hats, black, nude or brown. Ok see, it always comes back to brown…
Jewelry is a passion of mine, actually, an obsession. OF course jewelry is beautiful but it also makes you feel as beautiful as you are! I collect gemstones and make custom pieces sometimes too. I would love to start my own jewelry line one day.
Well, pretty soon we will have wrapped the series with nearly 90 episodes under our belt. To choose a favorite scene is next to impossible without some sort of hypnotherapy regression. But off the top of my head, based on the following criteria of: fun to film, fancy to air, and interesting storyline to tell, probably episode 418 with Matty and I discussing Gabby and Jenna’s insecurities.. Its such a wonderfully complex scene and Beau is such an actor’s actor that we really got to just ‘be’.
It’s only weird making out in front of camera when someone in your personal life is on set. It’s just uncomfortable to make out with a guy for money and then go snack at kraft service with your best friend immediately following. I will say, that for the most part, people are very conscious of their breath #MintyFresh. Though there have been a few times where someone tried to choke me with their tongue, we tend to be really professional. And the great thing about our cast is that NOBODY is romantically involved with another cast member. In my experience, this has ended badly (mixing of personal and professional) and thus we all sort of agreed to never bait our fishing pole in the awkward pond.
This is unfair. I love working with every single cast member on the show!! However, since you’re making me choose, I would have to say the majority of my favorite moments are those with beau (Matty) and Nikki (lacy). Both Beau and Nikki have nailed the careful art of comedy and reality and when we are working together, a myriad of organic and interesting choices come to float. Plus, Nikki and I have the same name ‘Ashley Nicole’, she just switched hers up.
Side bangs. Duh.
Cat eye, contour, lip stain and a touch of mascara. I have really long lashes and almost never wear false ones.
I have a three legged cat named Trinny and a ball of fluff that I’m told is a dog named Princess. My cat is literally three times the size of my dog, well more so. Princess is barely 3lbs and Trinny is 10. They both are different sides of me. Trinny is more of a Powerb!tch and princess is a silly spazz queen who spins in circles all day long.
72*, clouds in the sky a slight wind and the smell of autumn.
I’m pretty all over the place. Generally I prefer classic clothing, some might say preppy but I say ‘it won’t embarrass my kids in 20 years when they see this photo’. For red carpets and such, I like to be adventurous by trying the latest trends and taking risks with big statement pieces. For everyday, my signature is a crop tank top, super high waist skinny jeans, high top kicks and a leather jacket if its cold outside. When I’m on set, I wear workout clothes (they have to match… I’m very matchy) since we change into character wardrobe anyway.
My favorite movie of all time is a triple tie between Enter The Void, The Holy Mountain, and Birdman.
Favorite TV show of all time is a tie between Twin Peaks and Hannibal. Guilty Pleasure TV show is sex and the city (I’m a super fan).
